Monet at Kirkcudbright

A pastel if slightly sugary-sweet view across the harbour towards the Dee Bridge at Kirkcudbright ….. and for the final time that’s pronounced Ker-koo-bree …..the fishing boats are out at work, and a lone visitor stands for a moment looking at the tranquil scene. A picture that owes as much to Alvyn Langdon Coburn as it does to Claude Monet. If you don’t know Coburn’s photographs try looking him up on Google Images, he’s a star!
