Forest Flora

Forest Flora

Doach Woods are on the Castle Douglas to Palnackie road, and we often stop off here to walk the dog when on the way to visit Ma and Pa at Barlochan House. The track runs along the edge of the wood for three quarters of a mile before it starts to get strenuous up the side of Galgrie Hill and at this time of the year everything is springing to life with colourful Red Campion in particular as well as Bluebells and Wild Garlic.
