Evening Sky – Clatteringshaws Loch
Clatteringshaws Loch is at the centre of the Galloway Forest. This area is the focus of the dark skies project and is attracting many night time visitors because of the low level of light polution. Mind you, the high rainfall and cloud cover over Western Europe this year has curtailed the star gazing somewhat. This photo was taken when I joined the Glenkens’ Photography Group on a recent visit to the Bruce’s Stone car park at the southern edge of the loch. I am looking forward to seeing some of the group member’s pictures from this visit in a few weeks time….. where are we going to next, guys….?
Lovely shot John… I mus edit some of my Scotland skies
Thanks Helen. As you know, some days it’s the luck of the draw. Looking forward to your bonnie skies of Scotland.

Hi Santi, good to hear from you, and thanks for your kind word, and especially for the three exclamation marks!!!
