The art of photographing plants and flowers eludes me, but the geometry of this fern structure and its powerful evocation of new life was hard to resist.

It didn’t elude you here! I can see a lot of similarity between this fiddlehead and the interiors you’ve been photographing. Something about the formality, and the color.

Actually, although we have similar ferns here, this one was taken in Thailand.
Thanks for your kind observations. Composition/formality always figures high in my gut feelings about where to chop and frame.
