Remastered Street Scene
I have posted this street scene before in colour but I had cause to do a street photography presentation recently and used mostly mono examples, so this view was re-worked. I wanted to give some separation between the foreground figures and the complex background. To achieve this I gave the background a blur and reduced the contrast there.
Don’t remember where I put the original now. If I find it I will post it alongside for comparison. My picture files are in sequence but a bit chaotic.
Don’t you use Lightroom? Whenever I lose a photograph, I search for it using keywords or date.
No, don’t have Lightroom. If I tried to give keywords to 75,000 images I would never take another photo…
You have to do it as soon as you import the images. You can do it really quickly, there are lots of shortcuts. But I agree, if you’ve never done it, the thought of going through 75,000 photos is more than daunting
I just add a suffix to the original file name so they all stay together. I still need to remember which folder they came from, but its that search that reminds me of what else I havent touched 🙂
Yes, that’s right, lots of undiscovered images with potential. Trouble is, the more you have, the less time for producing new work. Out on Tuesday, hopefully adding to the files. Fingers crossed for decent !weather
And the price of storage is always coming down 😉
