Street in Agra

Street in Agra

I have been experimenting with depth of field recently and this picture, taken at Agra, was a prime candidate as the background was busy and distracting, so I made this slightly clumsy attempt at softening the background detail so that the foreground figures stood out.

  1. Hello, John. 🙂
I’ve been following your blog for quite a while now (not that I expect you to remember…. There must be thousands like me). And, I have to say, I really adore your work. Not just the way you capture the true beauty of nature, but of humans too. I’m not much of an expert, but you contain the versatility people thrive for.
So, I’d like to personally nominate you for ‘the versatile blogger’ award.

Now, I know you must be a busy man, but I’d love it if you could take out some of your golden time to contribute to it. But in any case of inability, I’d really not mind. 🙂
    Thanks.

    • Wow!
Thanks so very much… is it Jaismine?
You really have taken me by surprise and I am honoured by your comments and attention.
I haven’t seen too many blogger awards and am thrilled. I have been having a very busy time recently setting up websites for a creative writing group and for a local action group, as well as getting a picture ready for an exhibition that I was selected for in Birmingham. As well as doing this I am getting behind with my writing and am not ready for tomorrow’s meeting. I am reluctant to say thanks but no, but I know that to attend to the requirements of this honour I would have to give it careful thought and time. Thanks all the same, much appreciated.
      Best regards, John. 😂

      • You really are a busy man! 😄
And as I said before, I totally understand.
By the way, this so great: you getting selected for an exhibition in Birmingham! Congratulations on that one! 😀
Do take your time, I don’t mind. 🙂
And yes, it is Jaismine. 😀

        • Thank you Jaisimine. The wind turbine developers who are trying to save the planet are destroying our landscape instead…..thought you might like to know that…….so, yes, I’m a NIMBY. …..and worried about the attack on female rights and ethnic groups…..and Walls!
          Oops, sorry, getting carried away……
