Dublin Street Scene
This scene so reminds me of my childhood years spent in the red brick streets of Birmingham. I suppose those streets were similar in age to these in Dublin which date from the late 18th Century though to the late 19th Century.
I like how the light has caught the two figures which makes them stand out from the shadows at the side of the road. These buildings have more of a human scale than recent architecture of our towns and cities.
You caught them just at the right moment for the light John
A very Happy New Year Helen, and thanks, sometimes you get lucky!
Happy New Year to you too..
You put yourself in the situation to get the luck ;o)
Funny – I show a Dublin street scene on my blog today too. But I like yours better than mine!
Just different approaches, Jim, but thanks for the complement.
Went to university in Dublin…brings back happy memories of brick and cobble streets.
Ah, my youngest works at Trinity, and Dublin is a great intimate scale sort of city with some world class museums.
Thanks for the comment.
