Evanescent Evening

Evanescent Evening

It had been a cloudless day, though at about 2pm a heavy mist rolled in from the sea and that was that….cold and dark and damp.

I had spent the day looking after the gallery and of the few people looking around town, only a handful came in to look at the paintings, photos and other gifts.

When I closed up shop at 4pm the mist had started to clear so I dashed home to collect the camera and then came back to the harbour area to catch the last of the day’s light, and so that’s how I came to capture this scene from the Moat Brae, looking past the Shore Cottages to the curve of the Dee as it makes its way down to the sea.
