Threave Castle
A washed out looking Dumfries & Galloway Castle that’s sited on an island on the River Dee. Many of the castles in the region are basically fortified tower houses, the ruins of which can be spied standing in lonely isolation in fields, hidden by trees, or standing next to farm buildings.
Oh wow. This is fantastic
Thanks Rajiv. The location on the river bank is just lovely but I’m not keen on my bleached version of this photo.
I’m sure we’ve visited here before, John…beautifully framed by the elements.
Your memory is impeccable, Scott……I’m not easily going to slip something past you……you are sure getting to know SW Scotland…..and perhaps India, slightly!
