In yesterday’s post I wrote about the wind chasing the leaves around the garden. Somehow this scene conveys the same feeling.
It brings me to reflect on the transience of things.
Generations have passed through this place. They have maintained this place of worship with devotion. Over the years those that lived here have shared something and that sharing has brought the continuity of culture and faith. That’s quite an achievement. By sharing. By passing on the skills, the caring, and their faith. It may not be my faith, but that continuity and that sharing is what has brought all of us to this moment.
I could go on to reflect on the storm clouds……
Change is always banging on the door. All we can hope for is that change doesn’t knock the door off its hinges.
Love the comparison here to the blowing leaves. Very true feel to the image. Am tremendously enjoying all of your work.
Thank you so much…..and I enjoyed reading your piece about water. We moved to the coast for the reasons you define and have always received respite from visiting bodies of water.
