Badami is a small town in Karnataka that I’ve visited about 3 times and there’s always something to attract my attention. Just along to the right between the buildings is a small museum and if you continue further along the path you come to the ghats that we’ve seen in an earlier post.
I would suggest that those two women are returning from the ghats with their washing balanced on their heads. The mornings resound to the slap, slap, slap of wet clothing onto boulders as they beat out the dirt, and the sound echoes around the lake.
My other posts from Badami can be seen by entering ‘Badami’ into the search box at the top of the sidebar on the right.
