Autumn on the Dee

Autumn on the Dee

The foggy autumn morning that we saw in yesterday’s post slowly transformed into this lovely Autumn afternoon. We had walked the half mile from the car park down to the river Dee to the point where you can get the ferry across to the island on which stands Threave Castle. A trip that we’ve never actually taken. This view, though, takes in the more southerly aspect as the river flows south west towards the sea.
