A strange crop

Well I suppose it’s quite a strange picture. Time exposures can do strange things. I was using various settings with exposure time between 1/5 second and 5+ seconds. The reason for this photo being dug out of the files is that a friend David the Potter is showing some of his interesting sculptures alongside his pottery in the Harbour Cottage Gallery in Kirkcudbright for a couple of weeks and I offered to send him some of these pictures because he has been working on a dance theme and I thought these photos might spark some sculptural ideas.

  1. John, very nice. I like how you’ve captured the movement. Strange but very appealing. The light variations are also appealing. Moving from highlights on the floor to very bright overheads creates some intense light on the dances. Well done.
