At the Cobblers

At the Cobblers

While we were in Dublin recently we did a lot of walking, so I suppose it was appropriate that I should find an old fashioned cobblers, even if it was only to remind me how my feet were aching.

I had dropped off the family at a German speaking toddlers group at a nearby church and took the opportunity to walk along the grand canal that circles the south side of Dublin. At one street junction I came across C & D Shoes where they were happy for me to take a few photos including this one of a fine old piece of machinery and some well worn shoes.

    • I believe that it is a receptical in which is placed the old soul and heal and sundry waste materials so as not to clutter the floor……..no, to be truthful Tim, I have no idea, nor do I know the purpose or function of the machine. It just looks a rare and unusual device and is highly photogenic.
