Heinrich Khün 1866-1944
In my previous post I talked about Photogravure, one of my favourite processes associated with photography.
In following this up I have added a new page that can be reached by clicking the Photo History menu in the header panel.. On this new page there is a brief introduction to the work of Heinrich Khün, Henry E Davis and Frank Meadow Sutcliffe who all explored photogravure printing.
From looking at this photo of a Cicillian Brig I hope that you can understand my enthusiasm for this method of reproducing photographs.
John, I believe you have some broken links on your photos after photo history opens.
Oh thanks Tim, will check it out
Hope they are fixed now….thanks very much Tim.
It looks like you still have one missing link called “fog”.
That’s an interesting process with compelling results.
