A further view alongside the engine shed at Wankaner Junction in Gujarat. I was made very welcome on my visit here and everyone crowded round while I did a drawing inside the shed.
That is such a strong shot and moving scene.
Hi Chris…..and thanks very much.
Love this John. I guess that India is one of the few places left in the world where you can still see working steam trains.
They do still occasionally run preserved steam on the main line, and there are still the mountain railways which are steam hauled. Nothing left on the metre gauge though.
Very nice, I love the way the train lines line up with the pillars and draw my eye to the portrait, also the steam and smoke add drama to the scene. Very nice my friend 🙂
Regards
Mark
Thanks Mark. Very sorry not to have visited you recently but will try to do so when I get back from India. Regards, John.
A little bit of old-time locomotive heaven for you, John? 😉
Agreed, this old timer has memories that come from heaven.
