Against the Light

Against the Light

The low winter sun sends a raking light through the trees that stand along the path at the side of the river Dee, and in the distance is the outline of McClellands Castle. At this time of the year there are few visitors in the town and the shops will be getting ready to close, though here on Dee Walk you will meet the occasional dog with it’s owner tagging along, enjoying the winter sunshine. Winter time in Kirkcudbright can be fairly quiet and peaceful though you might meet Smithie out taking snaps for his blog.

    • You could bring a hamster instead of a dog……..I used to take the boys’ hamster to watch the Sunday league soccer….it sat in the large pocket of my jacket……fortunately it didn’t poop as often as the dog.
