Fallen Tree
Close-by here is Lowran Glen and the waterfalls that head down the steep hillside into Loch Ken. The forest is heavy with moss which grows over rocks and tree trunks, and making headway along the course of the Lowran Burn is hindered by the large number of fallen trees. Here a single example lies quietly mouldering in the pools of bright summer sun in this photo taken in July, last year, in Bennan Forest, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland.
How beautiful …the peace, light and green all together.
Good to hear from you Annet, and thanks very much.
You are welcome!
Oh….that IS beautiful, John….so very nice. I can almost smell the rich earth and feel the warmth of the dappled sun on my face and arms….wonderful.
….so very poetic, Scott….and thanks my friend.
Most welcome, dear John.
Wonderful dappled lighting John, captured superbly.
Thank you David….it’s a place I must visit again.
