Above Dundrennan

Above Dundrennan

The hamlet of Dundrennan lies in a pretty valley on the Abbey Burn which flows down through Netherlaw Glen, and into the sea at Abbey Burn Foot. The village contains the ruins of a once fine Cistercian Abbey that was founded in 1142.

In this view, taken from just above the village  at Girdstingwood, and looking down towards Netherlaw Woods, we can just make out Fagra Mill on the left.
