This is one of my favourite parts of the coast. Fleet Bay is a National Scenic area and you can understand why, especially when seen on this perfect late May afternoon. With colourful wild flowers in the foreground and the deep yellow of the gorse along the shore, all set against that beautiful blue sky, it makes the heart sing.
This little sandy beach is White Bay and next along is Mossyard Bay. Behind us is the delightfully named Ringdoo Point and the hills on the left are Ben John and Mill Knock. As you can see there are some early summer visitors on the beach…….it is getting towards bucket and spade weather……and hopefully the grandchildren will soon be building sandcastles.
