Carsfad Loch

Carsfad Loch

Last weekend was the excellent Spring Fling Open Studios event throughout Dumfries & Galloway and on Saturday we visited the studios of some of the fine photographers of Galloway. These included Kim Ayres, Phil McMenemy, and Alan Wright.

This view is taken from the front porch of Ted Leeming and Morag Paterson’s house from the very spot where they have taken all of their fabulous Zero Footprint images. Ted and Morag had issued a challenge to visiting photographers to send them an image taken from this wonderful viewpoint, with a prize offered for the best shot…..

Carsfad Loch forms part of the Galloway Hydro scheme. The mountains in the distance stand in the Galloway Forest Park and the area is known as the Glenkens…….a lovely area to visit on a beautiful spring day.
