Chalakudy Gorge
The high cliffs of the Chalakudy River make for a very dramatic landscape at a point further down stream from the previous posting of this river. This location is by some waterfalls that are behind us in this view. The scale of the place is not easily captured and judging by the wide expanse of smooth rock out of shot on the right hand side, the river must be quite a sight during the monsoon season, so it’s little wonder that the river has carved its way down through all that cliff face.
Beautiful picture!
