Cochi Coastline

Flying East is fine but flying West always leaves me seriously jet-lagged….so the first post from my recent visit to India is a little late.

This is a view from the ferry as it arrives at Fort Cochi in Kerala. Fort Cochi was a Portuguese and later British trading post. I had the day to myself as Ian wasn’t due in from Kuala Lumpur until nearly midnight so I took a taxi from the airport to the ferry for Fort Cochi and went to see Beena. She runs a wonderful Homestay in the heart of the island that I have visited before with Dave and Penny. She made me very welcome for a couple of hours and I had a shower and changed into more suitable clothing for a quick tour round some familiar, and some less familiar, sights on the island…… but more of that soon…
