St Giles Church at Cheadle in Staffordshire is very beautifully decorated, as you can see.

Cheadle is the smallest town in the Staffordshire Moorlands, located 10 miles south east of Leek and 10 miles west of the north Staffordshire conurbation.

St Giles Roman Catholic Church (lovingly known as Pugin’s Gem) is regarded as one of the finest churches in Britain. Designed in the 19th Century by A.W.N. Pugin, one of the foremost architects of the Victorian age it is a masterpiece of gothic splendour.

On the same day we visited the nearby  Churnet Valley Steam Railway……
