A wet day…..
Just an ordinary day, about a week ago with quite a few visitors around town as it was the schools half term holiday and of course the rain….. it poured down. A through-the-window shot from the Left Bank Gallery in Kirkcudbright where I work a few hours each week, on a busy corner overlooking the harbour and estuary of the Dee. It’s always enjoyable talking to visitors who come in dripping to take shelter and usually they comment about the range of local artists’ work in the gallery…….and the weather is always on the agenda as well.
The gallery has its Christmas exhibition on at the moment, including some of my photographs (a bit of self publicity never did any harm ……….) , and it always surprises me that so many come in prepared to buy presents in October…….what’s the matter with shopping in December? This photo was taken on my iPad so it didn’t take kindly to being edited. It’s amazing how much additional flexibility you get working with RAW files from the DSLR.
