Now I think that this was taken on the island of Noashima in the Seto Inland Sea between the main island of Honshu and Shikoku Island on September 23 2005. We had taken a boat trip from Takamatsu with our friends and a Sunday School party, on their way to plant some sweet potatoes on the island. Is that correct Damian, I know that you visit my blog from time to time?
The Seto Inland Sea has many quite large and lots of small islands, a few of which look like small volcanic cones…….there’s a line of them just to the west of Takamatsu………..and of course some islands are used as jumping off points for a range of amazing bridges that link Shikoku with the mainland.
I tried, but probably failed, to tone this picture to look like an old Japanese print…………No?…….ahh well, there’s another photo coming up soon which does the job a little better……..maybe….
