Skies over Ross Island

Located at the mouth of Kirkcudbright Bay, Ross Island gives shelter against southerly gales. The lighthouse is automatic now of course but just before this happened, there occurred a dreadful murder in August 1960. It was David Collin who, with his father, found the body while visiting the island for the first time on Thursday 18th August 1960. The story can be found here: http://www.kirkcudbright.com/dynamic.asp?ID=66
