Goat Herd

Season ticket holders will be  laying bets that they know where this is……………..this chap, Smithy has shown his India pictures before………..what’s his favourite place, the one he reckons that we all should visit……….dunno………Aihole, perhaps………..mmm, it looks a bit agricultural……….. quiet, though; a peaceful sort of place……….nice the way the dog’s keeping an alert eye on that flock of goats……wait a minute, Smithy said that he saw this herd of goats alongside the Tungabhadra River, that’s at that World Hertage Site in Karnataka, the one with the strange landscape made of giant boulders…………Hampi!……….that’s it, Hampi………..shall I book our tickets?………..Yes, why not, I like goats.

    • Hello Scott……….. clown is my middle name……..in any case, I know nothing at all about goats……… so what am I supposed to write here about a picture of goats………….its just the meanderings of a mind cast free into the ether….. unhinged…………..and talking to himself…………did you buy your ticket, I couldn’t get a flight, a train? Now there’s a thought………… a puffing billy goat………. ha, ha……….where did I put the tablets……

    • Ah, this 2009 photo was taken on my Olympus E-510 DSLR with a very nice Olympus 14-54 lens, but proved to be too heavy and bulky for travel work so now I use an Olympus OM-D E-M5 which is small, light and a perfect camera for travel and street photography, and I love it.
      Regards, John.

        • It’s a big company and they have been producing excellent cameras for at least 50 years. Their micro four thirds cameras are receiving excellent reviews and are probably the largest selling range of mirror less interchangeable lens cameras on the market.
