Phnom Bakheng Sunset

Cambodia is calling. Angkor is the place to visit in south east Asia. As the sun sinks towards the western horizon, so the many visitors gravitate towards Phnom Bakheng, a 9th century Hindu Temple standing on top of the only hill within the vast Angkor site. The view is magnificent. To the west the setting sun reflects off the West Baray, while to the south east just 1.5Km away stands the remarkable Angkor Wat, towering above the surrounding rain forest. Based in nearby Siem Reap I spent a week exploring this magical World Heritage Site. Highly recommended.
