Last Light

If you’ve travelled with me before, you may be familiar with this spot on the Yorkshire coast of England. It was taken in that evanescent twilight, the gloaming, when the sun is setting on the western horizon and darkness draws about us. The place in question is Robin Hoods Bay, a small and attractive coastal village just south of the town of Whitby. As the temperature dropped a sea mist formed and quickly covered the coast.

  1. Didn’t you do this in sepia earlier, John? I think it’s the one that I understood to have a “post-war” essence to it. I enjoy the color in this shot….
