Dunure Sunset

A view of the remains of the castle at Dunure in South Ayrshire, Scotland. Standing on a rocky promontory this castle has been a ruin for at least 300 years. The site dates from the 12th century but the remains were built in the 15th and 16th centuries. The castle was the home of the Kennedys of Carrick who once ruled over much of south western Scotland.

    • Thanks Adrian….. as you prob noticed, I don’t do many landscapes………. usually the only ones worth taking are snow scenes on a mountain top….. and I don’t climb anymore. Though the wide open skies of your part of the world look very appealing.
