Hampi Evening Light

The landscape around Hampi is unique. The hills are seemingly assembled from piles of house-sized boulders and they add a huge sense of magic to the temples that are spread through this fabulous environment.

Hampi, Vijayanagar, Karnataka, India.

  1. An intriguing and colourful landscape, well captured, the rocks remind me a little of the area around Jindabyne in the only really hilly part of Australia. Your images really do make you feel that you are right in there with the subject.

    • In an earlier visit I spent some time roaming this landscape with a joyful sense of adventure at discovering the remains of this ancient culture amongst the hills and boulders. Life is headlong….. we need to stand and stare. Thanks Andy.
