Hampi Wedding Musicians

Those of you that have been following my photographic gyrations around India will be familiar with Hampi already. The Virupaksha Temple was busy on that Saturday in November when three couples and their families undertook a colourful ceremony. To me the highlight was the band. They played catchy, folksy dance tunes using no doubt local traditional music, but all played in a lively and jaunty jazz idiom. It was just magic and made the whole memory of the event something to cherish. Here we see two of the musicians, the Clarinet and the Sax players. They were brilliant.
