The Wide & Silent Streets

The close quality of night; imminent and yet suspended: where the faces of the buildings present a blankness, hiding away their purpose until daylight. In between, the spaces lose their demarcations and become expansive and silent. A different light, drained of colour, pervades the scene bringing a synergy that is enhanced by the moisture laden air.
