Winding Wall 3
Stone walls or dykes are a defining feature of the Galloway landscape and many must owe their early beginnings to the clearances that started in Lowland Scotland from the 1760s. This photograph was an attempt to find a different way of using the dykes in a composition and here they work as both lead-in lines and as a containment of the view, in this case enhanced by the barrier of trees.

Yes, those spam messages can seem so sincere at first…almost flattering…and then we see that they’re not really saying anything about the post….
I do love your Scottish and English walls over there…ancient and moss covered…weathering more than time….
