A Misty Day on Carlingwark Loch
If you visit smithiesshutter fairly regularly you will have seen some earlier views of Carlingwark Loch and you may then remember that in ancient times the loch was the site of dwellings known as crannogs. These were defensive houses built on small islands on the loch.
This group of trees may have been one such site.

So pretty…I love the mystery and the light touch of color.
This is from the new camera. Have yet to use it with the sun shining….and the lens is just a little soft though not perhaps discernible on a foggy day.
A little soft in that it produces a softer, less crisp image…or…?
Soft images can be fine….just look at the work of Edward Steichen….but, no, the in-camera sharpness may need adjustment and the camera menu is a jungle.
Sounds kind of forbidding, such a technological jungle….
great mood and treatment!
Hi there and thanks….yes, I just had to stop and take this shot.
Great composition.
Great to hear from you, and thanks for your comment.
love this!
Thanks Sloane, much appreciated.
